Where can I get this product?

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is an accessory of the energy-based Thermage CPT system, and you can purchase it by calling Doctor Medica or visiting its website. Order Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper from Doctor Medica to gain a reference point for carrying out a treatment session with the Thermage CPT system on the eyelid.

What does this product come with?

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is packaged individually and is supplied in packs that each contain six sets of the paper. A package insert is also provided.

What are the benefits of this product?

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper has grid markings that are suitable for being used on the eyelid to outline treatment zones for the Thermage CPT system. The grid is applied using a simple dye transfer with alcohol, and it is easy to remove after the treatment process is over.

What is this product made of?

This item is a sheet of transfer paper that has an ink grid that is meant to be applied to the treatment area before a treatment with the Thermage CPT system. The Thermage CPT system itself consists of a radiofrequency generator, a cryogen unit, and a Handpiece on which a Thermage treatment tip can be attached. The grid comes in a 0.25cm2 or 3.00cm2 size.

How does this work to help my patients?

When used to treat the eyelid area, the Thermage CPT system is used to treat lax skin to alleviate concerns like wrinkles, eyelid drooping, and eyelid hooding. Thermage CPT uses radiofrequency energy to uniformly heat deep dermal layers in a controlled manner. This has two major effects on collagen in the treated area: First, the existing collagen is contracted, which provides an instantaneous tissue tightening effect, and new collagen is formed in the area due to the stimulation of the body’s wound healing mechanism. Together, these effects result in skin tightening in the treatment area as well as an improvement in skin texture and tone.

The Thermage CPT system delivers radiofrequency energy to the eyelid area via its Handpiece in the form of pulses. Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper transfers a temporary grid to the skin at the eyelid area to help with accurate Handpiece placement and to ensure that pulses are not delivered in an overlapping manner. Additionally, it also helps ensure that the entire treatment area is covered with pulses.

Use Instructions

How do I use this product?

A Thermage CPT eyelid treatment starts with the cleansing of the area with alcohol so as to remove any impurities, cosmetics, or creams. Contact lenses should also be removed before treatment. A small numbing drop should be instilled in the eye whose eyelid is being treated; the application of a plastic eye shield should follow. To transfer the grid to the treatment area, apply the skin marking paper on the skin, and dampen it with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball until the grid shows through the paper. The paper should then be peeled away so as to leave the grid markings on the treatment area.

Using the grid as a reference, deliver pulses of radiofrequency energy from the Thermage CPT system; utilize a lower-energy, multiple-pass protocol when doing this. These pulses should be placed in points that are adjacent but not overlapping one another. If needed, additional pulses can be targeted at problematic areas. Once the pulses have been delivered, cleanse the treatment area with alcohol to remove the grid markings.

How long will the treatment take?

Depending on the area being treated and the indication, one treatment session with the Thermage CPT system can take around 30 minutes to an hour and a half to complete, according to Solta Medical—the manufacturer of Thermage products.

What can I use it for?

The Thermage CPT system is used to tighten skin treating aesthetic concerns such as wrinkly eyelids, minor lines around the eyes, and eyelid hooding.

What areas should I use this product on?
Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is marked with a grid that is suitable for use with the Thermage Eye Tip and is suitable for use at the upper and lower eyelid.

How long do the results last?

The results of a single treatment session with the Thermage CPT system are immediate and continue to improve in the subsequent weeks and months. The results of an eyelid treatment with a Thermage CPT system typically last beyond one year.
