XEOMIN® is designed to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet around the eyes. It is also approved for medical use in conditions such as cervical dystonia and blepharospasm.
What Is XEOMIN® Used For?
As we mentioned, XEOMIN® has multiple use cases. It temporarily paralyzes and weakens muscles by blocking the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, responsible for muscle contraction. Here are some of its uses:Therapeutic Uses

How to Prepare XEOMIN® for Administration
Here are the steps that you need to follow to prepare XEOMIN® for administration:- Dilute XEOMIN with sterile, preservative-free 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP. Make sure that you follow the dilution guide below.
- Use a 20-27 gauge short bevel needle for reconstitution.
- Clean the vial's rubber stopper with 70% alcohol before needle insertion.
- Let the vacuum draw the saline into the vial, then gently add any remaining saline.
- Mix the solution by carefully swirling and flipping the vial without vigorous shaking.
- Use reconstituted XEOMIN within 24 hours and store it in the refrigerator at 2°C - 8°C.
- For 0.25 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 20.0U per 0.1 mL.
- For 0.5 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 10.0U per 0.1 mL.
- For 1 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 5.0U per 0.1 mL.
- For 1.25 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 4.0U per 0.1 mL.
- For 2 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 2.5U per 0.1 mL.
- For 2.5 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 2.0U per 0.1 mL.
- For 4 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 1.25U per 0.1 mL.
- For 5 mL of added diluent (0.9% sodium chloride injection), the resulting concentration will be 1.0U per 0.1 mL.
