Vistabex is a neuromodulating injection used to treat facial lines and wrinkles. When injected intramuscularly, it paralyzes the muscles, resulting in the relaxation of dynamic wrinkles.
Vistabex can be purchased by medical professionals at Doctor Medica. You may order directly from our website at www.doctormedica.co, or contact a customer care specialist by phone, by fax, or by emailing email@example.com.
Each package of Vistabex contains a 50U vial of botulinum toxin type A and a product manual.
Vistabex injections are capable of inducing temporary paralysis of the muscles by blocking the body’s release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter. When injected into the facial muscles, this can relax the look of dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by excessive movement of the face.
Vistabex is composed of:
This toxin is lyophilized and sealed in a vial under negative pressure. If the vial demonstrates no vacuum, please do not use the vial and contact us for further instructions.
Vistabex consists of botulinum toxin type A, which is the most potent of the 7 serotypes of botulinum toxin. It works by irreversibly binding to the neuromuscular junctions at striated muscles to inhibit the release of acetylcholine. This causes paralysis until a new neuromuscular junction is sprouted by the nerve ending. This new formation may take weeks to months, depending on the density of innervation and on the site, and on the amount and concentration of the solution injected. Most patients note a gradual increase in response from 3 to 7 days that plateaus and a gradual reduction after 2 to 11 months.
Using a large needle, first reconstitute the vial of Vistabex with 1 to 10ml of sterile saline using a 20G needle. Gently roll the vial to mix the reconstituted Vistabex.
Apply a local anesthetic agent to the treatment site 30 minutes prior to injection. Prepare ice packs to topically anesthetize and constrict the blood vessels before the injection. Insert the needle until it reaches the intramuscular level and inject the solution slowly. Do not rub the treatment area after injection, as this may spread the toxin to unintended areas. The number of units of Botox needed depends on the treatment area. Pre- and post-treatment photographs should be taken to compare the results.
Treatment with Vistabex may take up to 30 minutes to complete.
Vistabex is used for the cosmetic reduction of dynamic wrinkles in the face.
Vistabex is indicated for the treatment of facial wrinkles, such as glabellar lines and crow’s feet.
The effects from Vistabex generally last up to 2 to 4 months for wrinkles. Repeated injections have been shown to improve the duration of the aesthetic effects4.
Botulinum toxin has been safely used in humans since the early 1980s and FDA-approval for cosmetic use since 2002.
Vistabex is intended for patients with excessive concerns over dynamic wrinkles in the glabellar region. Patients who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of Vistabex should not use this product. Additionally, this product is not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, or those under the age of 18. Vistabex may not be injected into areas with an active infection.
Common, temporary side effects of Vistabex use are swelling, pain, bleeding, and bruising in the treated area. Generally, these effects are transient, and do not require medical attention unless they are persistent. In rare cases, use of Vistabex may lead to brow ptosis and upper eyelid ptosis. Allergic reaction has also been known to occur in some individuals, symptoms of which include difficulty breathing, hives, and swelling of the throat, tongue, and hands. If allergic reaction or serious side effects occur, patients must seek immediate medical attention.
This may not be a complete list of all Vistabex side effects. For more information on potential adverse reactions, contraindications, and precautions, please consult the included product leaflet.
