What Is DYSPORT® Used For?
DYSPORT® is used for two types of issues: aesthetic and medical. In aesthetic medicine, it is predominantly used to treat dynamic wrinkles (not static wrinkles from loss of collagen), including- Glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows)
- Lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet)
- Perioral lines (lip area)
- Limb spasticity
- Spasmodic torticollis
- Blepharospasm or hemifacial spasm
How Long Does DYSPORT® Last?
DYSPORT® effects can last for three to six months, but they wear off after three to four months on average. The results primarily depend on the individual patient, the maturity of their skin, and how they maintain it. DYSPORT® is naturally eliminated from the body, meaning additional treatments may be needed.DYSPORT® Administration Techniques
DYSPORT® is an intramuscular injection that needs to be dissolved before use, as it is sold in powder form. The dosage will depend on the specific area being treated and the severity of the lines. The exact anatomical area is best identified when the patient smiles as much as possible. It’s important to avoid the zygomaticus major and minor muscles to prevent unwanted effects such as a lateral mouth drop and an asymmetrical smile. DYSPORT® contains human albumin and lactose. It is not recommended for patients who are lactose-intolerant.DYSPORT® Product Range

DYSPORT® vs. Competition
When comparing DYSPORT® to other botulinum toxin preparations, it’s essential to know that their units are not equivalent, so they cannot be applied in the same amounts. It is also important if you want to buy DYSPORT® wholesale, as the number of units per procedure will differ. Here are the main differences between DYSPORT® and its main competitor, BOTOX®:- Price and potency – While DYSPORT® is generally cheaper than BOTOX®, its concentration is lower, so it usually takes a higher dosage of DYSPORT® to achieve the same result.
- Structure and formula – DYSPORT®’s molecules are smaller, and while they penetrate the target area more quickly, DYSPORT® typically requires a higher dosage.
- Injection technique – Due to the lower concentration and molecule size, DYSPORT® may require a different injection strategy.
