What Is RESTYLANE® Used For?

RESTYLANE® is made of biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. It is used to:

RESTYLANE® Administration Technique

Before giving RESTYLANE® treatment, advise patients to avoid medications and supplements like aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (like ibuprofen), St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E.

You want to adjust the amount of the filler you use based on the treatment site and wrinkle severity. In studies, the median total dose for midface wrinkle correction was 3.0 mL. The maximum recommended doses are 6.0 mL for nasolabial folds and 1.5 mL per lip per treatment.

RESTYLANE® Side Effects

Common side effects of RESTYLANE® include redness, swelling, bruising, or discomfort at the injection side. Rarely, patients may experience an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid with signs like facial swelling, difficulty breathing, and hives.
