ZO® Skin Health products are developed by Dr. Zein Obagi, the renowned inventor of skin health science. Dr. Obagi aims to change the concept of skincare by assisting physicians to achieve better treatment results after determining specific solutions customized to a patient's concern, rather than focusing on the diagnosis and adapting a one size, fits all approach. His company offers skincare solutions worldwide, as well as skincare seminars and clinical training programs for physicians. He pioneered a Skin Classification System to enable physicians like you to determine the best treatment and results based on your patient's skin type.
Why Choose ZO Skin Health?
Obagi's treatment line is a popular skincare brand, offering the most innovative and effective skin health solutions around the world. Their product range is split into two categories, ZO Skin Health and ZO Medical. Patients typically need to consult dermatologists from ZO Skin Health to purchase its products. Having it in your clinic makes it accessible to patients across different locations, who are looking for a science-based approach in treating their skin concerns.

Compatible Skin Types
These products are designed to work on various skin types:
Normal to Dry – skin that lack the ability to produce natural moisture often caused by over moisturizing with products. This can lead to dehydrated skin and overproduction of oil.
Dry and Sensitized – skin that needs hydration to strengthen the natural barrier and restore overall balance
Oily and Acne Prone – skin that suffers from frequent breakouts due to overproduction of oil.
Normal to Oily – may show signs of redness, uneven skin texture, and inflammation
ZO believes that the science of healthy skin relies on proper cleansing, exfoliating, and toning. Regardless of your patient’s skin type, ZO’s products have been tried and tested to bring their skin back to its most healthy and balanced state.
Consider the ingredients list and advance information for each product before prescribing it to your patients. Adverse effects, downtime, duration of treatment, and expected results from the regimen must be discussed with your patients. Retinol containing products are not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
It may take 2 to 6 weeks for gradual transformation to begin. At least 5 months of daily use is recommended to see maximum results. Advise your patients to use sunscreen as certain ingredients make the skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Zo Skin Health products will range in cost, from $50 and up.
