Radiesse is a sterile, non-allergenic, semi-permanent injectable implant containing synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite as the key ingredient. The brand is developed by Merz Aesthetics, which is a subsidiary of the Merz Pharma Group. Radiesse fillers are made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHa) microspheres, a unique substance that provides long-lasting lifting effects. The filler range was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds, and fill skin depressions. In 2015, it also gained FDA approval for reducing the appearance of vei and tendons in the back of the hands caused by volume loss.
