Skinvive by Juvederm® is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid injectable gel from Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company. It is administered via an intradermal microdroplet technique and is indicated to improve cheek skin smoothness in adults aged 21 and older. It is not intended for volumizing, lifting, or contouring.
Clinical data from the pivotal trial showed that Skinvive improved cheek skin smoothness with effects lasting at least six months. Maintenance or repeat treatment may be considered based on patient response, clinical assessment, and labeling guidance.
In the pivotal clinical study, Skinvive produced statistically significant improvement in cheek skin smoothness at one month compared with no treatment. 57.9% of treated participants achieved at least a 1-point improvement on the Allergan Cheek Smoothness Scale at one month, and 55.6% maintained this response at six months.
Skinvive by Juvederm® is designed for intradermal hydration and skin smoothness, not facial volumizing, lifting, or contouring. Unlike traditional Juvederm® fillers, it is placed as microdroplets within the dermis and is FDA-approved specifically for improving cheek skin smoothness.
