What Is CYTOCARE Used For?

CYTOCARE is used to correct, reduce, and prevent aging-related skin problems, particularly vertical lip lines, It is injected into the superficial and medium dermis of the face and is designed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, dehydrated skin, and lack of density and radiance in the skin, thanks to its rejuvenating complex containing vitamins, amino acids, and other beneficial ingredients.

CYTOCARE Indications

CYTOCARE is a skin booster that treats and prevents the following conditions:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Inelastic, dull skin

CYTOCARE Administration Technique

CYTOCARE can be injected into the middle or superficial dermis of the face and neck. There are typically three sessions with three-week intervals, followed by maintenance sessions once every three months. CYTOCARE can be injected using an injection gun or manually.

Depending on the maturity of the skin, medical professionals can use different protocols and  one of three concentrations:

  • CYTOCARE 502 It can be applied using three main techniques: nappage, point-by-point, and transdermal systems.
  • CYTOCARE 516 and CYTOCARE 532 – They can be applied using point-by-point, retrotracing, fan injection, cross-hatching, and transdermal systems.

CYTOCARE Product Range

CYTOCARE comes in three concentrations to suit different skin types:

  • CYTOCARE 502 – For young skin and prevention of fine lines (2mg hyaluronic acid). CYTOCARE 502 is intended for preserving youthfulness and maintaining hydration, radiance, and skin density.
  • CYTOCARE 516 – For correction of early lines (16mg hyaluronic acid). CYTOCARE 516 is a stronger concentration intended for correcting early fine lines and increasing elasticity, hydration, radiance, and density.
  • CYTOCARE 532 –  For reduction of wrinkles (32mg hyaluronic acid). CYTOCARE 532 reduces wrinkles and fine lines and helps with hydration, radiance, and density

While all three products contain different concentrations of hyaluronic acids, they also contain Lipoic Acid, Putrescine, Thymidine, 20 essential amino acids, and vitamins:

  • B4 (Adenine)
  • B8 (Biotin)
  • B5 (Calcium Pantothenate)
  • B9 (Folic Acid)
  • B7 (Inositol)
  • B3 (Nicotinamide)
  • B6 (Pyridoxin)
  • B2 (Riboflavin)
  • B1 (Thiamine)
  • B12 (Cobalamin)

CYTOCARE Side Effects

While providing effective aesthetic results, CYTOCARE may cause side effects:

  • Pain
  • Bleeding
  • Tingling
  • Erythema
  • Inflammation
  • Bruising
  • Itching at the injection site

Other observed side effects may include:

  • Swelling
  • Hematoma
  • Nodules
  • Ecchymosis
  • Infection due to incorrect asepsis

Medical professionals who buy CYTOCARE® are obliged to explain possible side effects to their patients. The medical practitioner has to notify the patient of all immediate or delayed adverse effects and treat them if they occur. They must also stress the importance of reporting the side effects quickly so they can be treated in a timely manner.

It has been observed that hyaluronic acid-based products, whether cross-linked or not, or those administered through similar methods, can cause side effects as well. These include the following:

  • Eythema
  • Swelling
  • bruising
  • Hematoma
  • Itching
  • Pain
  • Fibrosis
  • Papules
  • Infection
  • Allergy
  • Lichenoid eruption
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Granuloma
  • scaring
  • Chronic inflammation
  • Tissue necrosis
  • Atrophy
  • Lipodystrophy
  • Migration of the injection material
  • Bacterial infections with abscess
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • On rare occasions, vascular occlusion with potential vision impairment

CYTOCARE vs. Competition

CYTOCARE is popular for its combination of hyaluronic acid and CT50 rejuvenating complex. It solves several problems at once, reducing the need for multiple products.

  • CYTOCARE vs. PROFHILO – The procedure lasts longer than CYTOCARE, with treatments that have longer intervals (one month vs. three weeks). It doesn’t require an anesthetic, and the procedure is less painful. However, PROFHILO doesn’t contain a rejuvenating complex.
  • CYTOCARE vs. SCULPTRA – Sculptra is not based on hyaluronic acid, but on poly-L-lactic acid. Unlike CYTOCARE, it works to stimulate collagen production, so while both are popular fillers, their mechanism is different.
  • CYTOCARE vs. AQUASHINE – AQUASHINE contains HA, but it also contains a complex of 24 amino acids, 14 vitamins, 8 minerals, and a coenzyme. More does not always mean better so the treatment should be adapted for each patient individually.
